Adding, Dropping, or Withdrawal from a Course—Undergraduate and Graduate

Students are expected to attend and complete all classes for which they are registered. Students are eligible to participate in the add/drop period during the first seven calendar days of each semester (attendance policies apply during the add/drop period).  Lab courses shorter than 15-weeks that are in session during the add/drop period may not be added but may be dropped through day three. Students who decide to withdraw from a course after the add/drop period must request their withdrawal with the Center for Career and Academic Advising. Graduate students who decide to withdraw from a course after the add/drop period must request their withdrawal with the Senior Director, School of Graduate and Professional Studies. Students will be eligible for a grade of "W" if withdrawing from the course by the deadline listed in the chart below. After that time, the student will be assigned a grade of "WF."  A student who receives a "W" or "WF" will not be permitted to continue attending the course.
